This trip provides you with a chance to visit an out of the way corner of India in the far north west of the country. Ladakh is a high altitude desert surrounded by the Himalaya, Karakoram, Ladakh and Zanskar mountain ranges.
Our trip starts with a flight from Delhi to Leh, the Capital of Ladakh. This area of India is called 'Little Tibet' partly because of its high, arid mountains and partly because of the strong Tibetan Buddhist tradition going back many centuries. We spend two days sightseeing in the Leh area, apart from providing an insight into Tibetan Buddhism, this allows us to acclimatise to the altitiude before we start our trek through the Markha Valley. While the Markha Valley is well known in Ladakh this is an area away from the usual tourist and trekking destinations.
After our trek we fly back to Delhi where the trip ends.  Day 01 Fly to Delhi

Day 04 Sightseeing at Alchi Likir and Rizdong Monastery
Day 05 Start Markha Valley trek. Leh to Zinchen via Spituk 3400m
Day 06 Zinchen to Yurutse 4140m
Day 07 Yurutse to Skiu over Ganda la (pass) 4900m camp at 3300m
Day 08 Skiu to Markha 3710m
Day 09 Rest day at Markha
Day 10 Markha to Hankar
Day 11 Hankar to Nimaling
Day 12 Animaling to Sumdo
Day 13 Sumdo to Leh via Martsellang
Day 14 Fly to Delhi
