| "World's Highest Mountain Trek" is a combination of two superb treks. The first trek takes you close to Kangchenjunga 8586m, the world's third highest mountain, in Sikkim. The second trek is to the to Everest Base Camp. it offers some of the world's most spectacular scenery in the Khumbu region of Nepal. The two treks are very different. The first trek involves a drive from Darjeeling into Sikkim and then a walk is through forests of rhododendron to the alpine region of Sikkim at Dzongri. From here you have marvellous view of Kangchenjunga, Khumba Karna and Pandim. You walk through open valleys and camp by the glacial lake at Samithi, before making your challenging trek up to Guiche-la Pass 5000m from where you look and across the Talung glacier straight up the south face of mighty Kangchenjunga
For the next leg of our visit to highest mountains we drive and fly from Darjeeling to Kathmandu then fly to Lukla for the start of our trek through Sherpa villages and spectacular mountain scenery to Kala Pathar. It is a strenuous trek that takes us through the Sherpa village of Namche Bazaar. The strenuous trekking is continually rewarded with dramatic Himalayan scenes, including four of the world's eight highest peaks: Cho Oyu 8153m., Makalu 8475m., Lhotse 8500m. and Everest 8848m.. Breathtaking mountain vistas are complemented by visits to Sherpa homes, villages and monasteries offering you an insight into the quiet, but culturally vibrant Sherpa way of life.
